Rising Formula is a web design studio in Quarteira, in the Algarve. We design and build websites, online shops and apps for businesses in Portugal, from the Algarve to Lisbon, and we do it in English or in Portuguese, from the first call to support after launch.

Who we work with
Many of our clients run a business in Portugal but don't want to brief a web agency in a second language. You talk to us in English; your customers can read your site in Portuguese, English or both.
You run a company in Portugal and want a studio that explains every step in English, writes the contract in plain words and stays on after launch.
Villas, restaurants, salons, real estate, tours: if your customers are tourists, expats or foreign buyers, your site has to work for them first, in their language.
A site in Portuguese and English, with separate pages for each language, so Google shows Portuguese searchers the Portuguese page and everyone else the English one.
What we build
Design and development are done by one in-house team, and you talk to the people who build your site.

Good to know
A few things that are different here, and that we set up as part of the build so you don't have to find out later.
Each language gets its own pages and addresses, linked to each other, instead of a translate button. That is what lets Google show the right language to the right person.
Businesses in Portugal that serve consumers must show a visible link to the electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) on their website. We add it.
A cookie banner that asks before any tracking starts, and a privacy policy that says what you collect and why, in both languages.
Many Portuguese customers pay with MB WAY or a Multibanco reference rather than a card. An online shop here should offer them.
Locals and tourists alike find businesses on Google Maps. We link your site and your Google Business Profile so they back each other up.
Most visits come from phones, often on mobile data. We keep pages light, so they open quickly wherever your customers are.
How working with us looks
Everything happens in English or Portuguese, as you prefer, over video calls, email, WhatsApp or Telegram. Clients in Lisbon and the rest of Portugal work with us the same way as clients in the Algarve.
A 20-minute call about your business, your customers and what the site has to do.
We write down everything we will do, with the price and the dates, and we both sign a contract before we start.
You see the structure and the design first. We build nothing until you have approved it.
A landing page usually takes 2 to 4 weeks; a business website or online shop 4 to 8 weeks.
Every project includes one month of free support. After that the same team stays on: we reply within 24 hours and fix most issues within 48 to 72 hours.

Yes. We work in English and Portuguese: calls, messages, the contract and the support after launch. You can brief us in English and have the site in Portuguese, English or both.
Yes, and we build it as two sets of pages linked to each other, one per language, rather than a translate button. Google then shows the Portuguese page to people searching in Portuguese and the English page to everyone else. Our own site works this way.
No. We are based in Quarteira, in the Algarve, and work with clients across Portugal and Europe, for example Cut & Shout, a hair studio in Lisbon. Most of the work happens over video calls and messages. If your business sells to the UK, see how we work with UK businesses.
If your business sells goods or services to consumers in Portugal, yes: the website must show a visible link to the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico. We add it as part of the build.
Tilda, WordPress, Framer, Shopify, PrestaShop or fully custom code. We choose on the first call, based on what the site has to do and who will edit it afterwards.
