Rising Formula is a small ecommerce web design company in Quarteira, in the Algarve. We design and build online shops for UK businesses that want a team to build their store for them, not a DIY builder: card payments, your catalogue and checkout, on Shopify, Tilda or another platform that fits. Shops start from €2,000 + VAT. We work in English and on UK time.

Who it is for
Small and growing UK businesses that sell products and want one team to design, build and look after their online shop.
You sell products, maybe through Instagram, WhatsApp or in person, and want a shop where customers find them, add them to the cart and pay by card.
Your shop already works but looks dated or loads slowly. We refresh what you have, as we did for Céu da Terra, instead of starting again.
You sell abroad or to customers in more than one language. A second language comes in the Growth plan, and simpleLED is a multilingual shop we built.
Ecommerce web site development
Three plans for an online shop, from a ready-made template to a design made only for your shop. One in-house team designs and builds it, and you talk to us directly.
Prices excl. IVA. You get the exact price in the scope of work before we sign anything.
Want a product to turn and open up as people scroll? A moving product page is from €1,200. After launch, the same team can look after the shop: website support is from €49/month. Full details of every plan are on our online store page.
Before you ask
There are plenty of ecommerce website design companies in the UK. Here is what is different about us, and where we are not the right choice.
The shops on our site are for businesses in Portugal: simpleLED, a lighting studio, and Céu da Terra, which sells Algarve farm produce to customers in Germany. Look at them before you decide.
The people on your first call design and build your shop and look after it afterwards. If you need hundreds of products or a long list of custom integrations from day one, a larger ecommerce agency may suit you better, and we will say so on the call.
Mainland Portugal keeps the same time as the UK all year. We work in English, sign a contract with the scope, price and dates before we start, and follow the EU GDPR. More on how we work with UK businesses.
Our ecommerce work
A shop we built, a shop we refreshed for buyers in another country, and a product page demo you can order for your own shop.

A product page where the product turns, opens into its layers and changes colour as you scroll, made from photos with no 3D model. LEVE is a demo brand we made up; the page is real.

How working with us looks
Everything happens in English, over email, video calls, WhatsApp or Telegram, whichever suits you. Because we share your clock, calls fit into your normal working day.
A video call at a time that suits you in the UK. We ask what you sell, who buys it and what your shop has to do.
We write down everything we will do, with the price and the dates, and we both sign a contract before we start.
You see the template or the design with your logo, colours and photos first. We build nothing until you have approved it.
We build the shop, connect card payments and add your products. A shop usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. We place test orders on phones and computers before it goes live.
The same team stays on for updates and fixes. We reply to support requests within 24 hours and resolve most within 48 to 72 hours.
Questions
What UK shop owners usually ask before hiring an ecommerce web design agency.
With us, an online shop on a ready-made template with card payments and your first 20 products is from €2,000. The Complete plan, with up to 60 products, delivery cost calculation and basic SEO, is from €3,200, and the Growth plan, with a design made for your shop and a second language, is from €4,900. Prices are in euros and do not include VAT, and the final price is written into the contract before any work starts. See every plan in detail.
A DIY builder gives you the tools; you still have to choose the template, set up payments, add every product and test the checkout yourself. When you hire an ecommerce web design company, that work is done for you, and you get a shop that is tested before it goes live and a team to call afterwards. If you have the time and enjoy the setup, a builder on its own can be enough.
Look at shops they have actually built, check who you will talk to day to day, and ask for the price, the dates and what is not included in writing before you sign. Ask who looks after the shop once it is live. Our shop work is on simpleLED and Céu da Terra, and our reviews are on Google Maps and Clutch.
Yes. Mainland Portugal is on the same time as the UK all year, so calls and replies happen in your working day. We work in English, sign a contract with the scope, price and dates before we start, and follow the EU GDPR. Our shop projects so far are for businesses in Portugal, one of them selling to customers in Germany. More on how we work with UK businesses.
Usually Shopify or Tilda. Shopify is made for online stores and suits a bigger catalogue; Tilda is simple and works well for a small shop. We have also worked on a PrestaShop store for Céu da Terra. We help you choose on the first call. Platforms like Shopify have their own monthly fee, and card payments have a small fee per order, which you pay directly to the platform and the payment provider.
An online shop usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. Having your product photos, prices and descriptions ready is what helps most to keep to that time.
Yes. For Céu da Terra, a PrestaShop store selling Algarve produce to Germany, we refreshed the existing shop with up-to-date content, video and animations and made its pages load faster, without rebuilding it. We look at your shop first and suggest what to change.
